OXYPOND
OXYPOND
In wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), anaerobic, aerobic, and facultative lagoons are widely used for the stabilization of industrial and municipal effluents. With increasingly stringent environmental regulations, the need to upgrade lagoons into more efficient aerated systems is growing. The Oxypond aeration system was developed for this application, utilizing high-efficiency HDPE diffusers with oxygen transfer efficiency exceeding 3.1 kg O₂/kWh. The system maintains adequate dissolved oxygen levels and promotes controlled mixing without disturbing settled sludge. Its design enhances bubble residence time, increasing efficiency and reducing energy consumption.
Applications
- Food industry, Beverage industry, Textile industry, Dairy, Paper & Pulp, Municipal wastewater treatment, Sanitary landfill

Advantages
- Diffusers manufactured from highly durable HDPE, resistant to fouling and wear.
- High oxygen transfer rate (>3.1 kg O₂/kWh)
- System designed to prevent disturbance of the bottom sludge.
- Longer residence time of bubbles in the liquid medium.
- Different hydraulic configurations (uni-, bi- and multidimensional flow)
Simple and modular installation, suitable for existing ponds.
